INSIDE This Book, Mossa Barandao Writes:

"Humanity is connected by a system of spiritual roots which is based, in turn, on a spiritual nucleus we call God..... Human beings draw strength from one another, thus creating the body of humanity as a reality which is more than the sum of its individual human beings. With this understanding, would it be categorically wrong to conclude that we are, indeed, the keepers of our brothers and sisters? My position would be that indeed we are!" (page 67)

"A thorough analysis of our human history reveals a long and perpetual dependency on sources outside us. It is customary for the human creature to find sanctuary, security, or comfort in the confines of its outer world—be it families, husbands, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, government, or church. Granted, these entities are vital aspects of our society and play crucial roles as we seek to foster and nurture our social interactions. But, prior to fostering any meaningful social interactions, our inner energies have to be properly defined, understood, and controlled, thus enabling the secondary elements, our exterior nature, to gain real substance. Our friends, families, and social clubs are only a reflection of the bodies that make up their composition." (page 79)

"The psychological manipulation strategy developed through the miseducation of human beings has impregnated us with a fear mechanism. And such fear derives from that which is unknown to us. Any thought or idea that runs counter to what is ingrained in our mind or our way of life becomes a direct threat. This fear mechanism is manifested in many forms, but primarily in our relentless competition with one another (in appearance, material possessions, intellectual and physical ability, and so on). Furthermore, this fear is reflected in the failure to act upon our beliefs and dreams, since we fear the uncertain outcomes of any action. And so, we perpetuate mediocre lives." (page 83)

"From birth, we are taught that our life is at the mercy of exterior forces in the form of our religions, our governments, our friends, and our material possessions. Thus, as we have accepted this teaching, we have devaluated our worth into that of weak and mortal creatures. Creatures that are incapable of doing anything unless the very plotted forces of our exterior world gives us the right to do so -or even just to be. This creedal brainwashing stands to explain why man is perpetually entangled in the web of fear (a self-inflected barrier) which serves one real purpose: to abate the potentiality of a superiorly intelligent creature." (page 190)

"The human creature’s reality is that unless it employs its properties (life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness) to carve a piece of its share of existence in this society, no other entity will provide. Unless, of course, this creature relinquish its naturally endowed gifts of existential properties to the state. In such case, this creature having become the property of the state is subject to that state -to provide for its needs- in the same way as an immature child is subject to his or her parent until an age of maturity." (page 136)

THE MAGNITUDE OF MY PERSON (from Part V of the book: Day 6)

"Suppose that today, I saw nothing bad, thought nothing negative, smiled at everyone on my path and feared nothing; even then, will I be successful in touching the unconsciousness of humanity? A resounding yes; it is possible that all my minute gestures of kindness will make a profound difference within the energy around me, subsequently affecting the people in my surroundings. Oh, what a wonderful feeling it is to know that I, little old me have the potential to enact such a change. Today, I have the opportunity to awaken the sleeping Giant within me." (page 205)
